I sure hope this is right, because i’m sick to death of playing this puzzle:
If this doesn’t work for you, check out Sorontik’s comments of July 2019 to see if that helps.
You can change the order in which the weapons hit Rufus by rearranging the Fuses on the Console (click a Fuse to pick it up, then click where you want to put it); when you’re done ordering them, click “Back” to leave the Console. Hm, looks like you might need to…
missable achievement alertThe next step prevents you from earning Long time no see, which requires you to take toothbrush from jail cell (the one where Rufus and Cletus were locked up).
mini game: lower Cletus into Argus’ officemissable achievement alertYou must complete this puzzle without skipping it to earn Mission Impossible.
You’re looking at a control panel with a lever which can move along a track.
If you exit Doc’s room and try to go Out, you’ll run into Oppenbot; no matter whose clothes Rufus is wearing at the time, the effort will be marked a failure and you’ll have to ask Receptionist to send Oppenbot down again (incidentally, Rufus says “Perfect. If she runs into a colored square, she’ll complain and quickly turn back; however, you can “trap” her on the floor by moving a camera to block her retreat path.
To use Finger Focus, click it in your inventory; you’ll see Rufus holding up his fingers to frame a part of the screen. On the lower right, behind the ramp, there’s a passage marked “Into the crawl space” — go there
you are now in the Cell Block Crawl Space. Now take what you learned from doing that, combine it with Rufus’ Plan, and see if you can figure out how to… 4.3 bring back Hermes
- Sack of Beans, Oil Bottle, Water
- Time Card / Stamped Time Card
- Olives / Olive Oil
- Bag of Fries, Fryer Grease, Swill-o-Fizz, Iodized Salt
- Garlic
- Platypus Eggs
This seems like a good time to make sure you know that you can double-click a passage to another area to pop there automatically instead of walking slowly over.
- go to Residence and collect Sack of Beans, Oil Bottle, and Water; according to the left half of the hidden hint on Rufus’ Plan, you now have all the cloning ingredients you need
(tip for the impatient and/or puzzle-intolerant: it’s possible to skip straight to step 9 from here; then, when you reach step 11, put all 8 ingredients into Funnel)- go Down to lower level of Patio, then go to Factory Floor (far right door, next to Time Clock)
- place Sack of Beans, Oil Bottle, and Water into Funnel; you can see by the fact that there are now two green smiley faces next to the gauges in the background that the machine has enough material to make two clones
- go to Clone Lab and click Console
- the round Switch on the left side sets the number of clones to be produced; click until it’s set to 2, which is the most you can make at this point
- mouse over green display; text will appear on your cursor indicating which clone model is set to be produced (the default is Rufus)
- push purple Button top center until Hermes is selected
- pull Lever on right, then follow the two Hermeses to Patio.
As you watch them jump into the first two composters, you’ll probably figure out exactly what the new hidden hint on Rufus’ Plan is finna tell you: you need three Hermeses, so that the third one jumps into the broken composter, therefore surviving.I’m guessing i’m not the only one who does it that second way.
Therefore, i tried to organize this guide in such a way that you can search it for the obstacle you’re trying to pass (like getting into the Pub, for example) and find all the information you need collected right there without having to do very much additional rummaging around.
Seems like the original intent might have been to make them look more like the shoes of a Deponian (brown & full of holes), but perhaps the devs decided not to make that necessary?
- open Closet and put Cletus’ Shoes inside; leave Closet door open
- click Door Button and talk to Guard again to see if you can tell what needs to be done next; note that he says “How would they have got in here anyway,” because that should tell you that you need to…
- …make it look like there’s an alternate way into the room, perhaps by taking grate off Air Duct
- take Letter Opener from Goal’s desk, examine it to have Rufus recite an excellent poem
- use Letter Opener on Air Duct to remove grate
- you’d think that would be enough, but it isn’t.
Just click any of them until he stabs Goal in the heart with an overdose of sodium amytal. I was, so i wrote this one for “Goodbye, Deponia.” Many hints given, all missable achievements marked. For each of the following images, select the answer that comes the closest to your association below.
The IDRlabs Rorschach Inkblot Test (IDR-RIT©) is the property of IDRlabs International.
Tidybot shows up to clean the mess, knocking Guard over the side and leaving Rufus free to escape
missable achievement alertStep 2 prevents you from earning Ignorance is Bliss, which requires you to exit Central Core room via the door on the left, the one you came in (it’s marked “To the main ship”).
Step 2 takes you to into a room that contains one of the eggs needed for Ornithorhynchologist; step 4 takes you out of that room, never to return.
There are no right or wrong answers, but you will sort of need to remember your answer to the second card later on.
- enter Cabin and grab another Coffee from Coffee Dispenser
- enter Open Air Duct
- use Coffee on Doormat in Central Core; Tidybot goes there to clean it up
- if only there were a way to make Tidybot leave a trail from your Cabin to Central Core…
- go back outside Cabin and use Coffee on Doormat to bring Tidybot back
- use Letter Opener on Tidybot to perforate its cup and make it leave a trail of coffee as it goes
- go pour some more Coffee on Doormat in Central Core to see what happens
- exit Cabin and follow the trail
- unfortunately, Tidybot is already on its way back, cleaning up the trail as it goes, so you can’t follow it to the end…
- …so if you can’t follow a trail that ends in Central Core, maybe you need…
- …
- …a trail that starts there….

- Tibon-Czopp, S. & Weiner, I.B. (2016). For a clue, click Picture to take it down and see that it has a Nut behind it; examine Nut
- to steal Cletus’ Bag — which is sitting on counter next to Coffee Maker — use Bozo’s Bag on it to swap them; examine Cletus’ Bag in inventory to find Paper Money
- pick up Corkscrew, Salt Shaker, and Pepper Shaker; click Coffee Maker to collect Dust.
If you have trouble getting out of Restaurant, note that it has two exits, one at each end.- on your way back To the Rooms, stop by Laundry (lower left door); take Bozo’s Suit and the Coathanger it’s hanging on
- lure Cletus out of his room and into the Restaurant, part 1: place a lunch order for Room 1
- go to Doc’s Room, click Intercom (left side, near door)
- tell Receptionist you’re calling from Room 1 (Cletus’ Room) and say “I would like to dine now;” the gist of his response is that before an order can be placed, Rufus needs to go get a menu from the front desk (Cletus already has a menu, apparently, so dressing as him is not the answer).
Why would you show me something like that?” / “It’s the devil”
- after passing the test, open Medicine Cabinet, grab Antidepressants and Emetic
- go back to Bozo’s Bed
- try to give Antidepressants to Bozo; pay attention to what Rufus says when it fails (if that doesn’t give you any ideas, try using Emetic on Bozo and listen to Rufus’ response to that)
- have Left Rufus send Leftover Soup to Middle Rufus, then switch back to Middle Rufus
- combine Antidepressants with Leftover Soup
- when you try to get the Soup out of your inventory, you find that Baby Bozo has eaten it.
Baby Bozo is just too clever.” — and here’s one more clue before i spoil it: have you played with the Rotary Clothes Dryer behind where the Mooks are sitting?
- open the gate:
- click Rotary Clothes Dryer twice, so that Romper is in front
- click Romper to make Rufus stick his face through it; Mrs. Mook mistakes him for Baby Bozo and gives him a caffeine Lollipop
- enter Casa Bozo and give Lollipop to Baby Bozo
- Baby Bozo spits out Pacifier & wanders off, opening gate to District Center on his way out
- exit to District Center; examine Storm Drain and talk to Bread Wrap Woman
- click passage on far right to enter Rebel Camp; be sure to pay careful attention to hotspots here, because there’s an easy-to-miss one you’ll need later
- click “Gate to the Rebel Camp” on upper level to talk to Liebold, then go down and talk to Sgt.
Bambi and Pvt. Lotti (the conversation with Liebold adds choices to their dialogue, so be sure to talk to them after him).
Rufus’ Plan now contains an idea for what to try next: get Bozo to vouch for Rufus.- Press “Esc” to go back to the main menu and to skip dialogue lines as well as cutscenes.
Across 53 meta-analyses examining variables against exter-nally assessed criteria (e.g., observer ratings, psychiatric diagnosis), the mean validity was r = .27 (k = 770) as compared to r = .08 (k = 386) across 42 meta-analyses examining variables against introspectively assessed criteria (e.g., self-report).
It is designed to evaluate how someone approaches their environment, In other words, it asks the question, "How does someone view and organize the world around them?"
Through analyzing what someone sees, where they see it, and what about the blot makes what they saw look like whatever they saw, the psychologist is able to make various hypotheses about how that person views and organizes the world.
Beyond that, i got nuthin.’
CHAPTER X: ORGANON CRUISER
3.1 trick the guard
- Cletus’ Shoes
- Letter Opener
- Slatted Frame
- we start with a brief scene in which Goal asks Rufus to prepare the bed — for sleeping — while she writes her report.
If you reveal the first spoiler in step 6, you might see where we’re going with this
- send Baby Phone to Left Rufus
- switch to Left Rufus and right-click Baby Phone in inventory to call Toni; at the sight of the extra Rufus, she gets upset and runs off to see Therapist
- switch back to Middle Rufus and go to Rope Store to see what she’s up to; according to the Plan, now that you’ve put Toni in therapy, you need to get her back out.

5.5 get Toni out of therapy
- Flyer / Weighted Flyer
- Metal Type “Yrk”
- Pepper, Coffee, Bagel
- Urinal Cake, Toothpaste
- Dust
- Prescription
Tip for navigating Rope Store/Therapist’s Office/Editor’s Office complex: when trying to get from one room to another, you may have noticed you can’t just click the floor to walk there.
His dialog contains a clue about one item’s future use, so pay attention (he says the toilet paper is “as rough as sandpaper”)
- give him Paper Money (section 2.1, step 6) to get rid of him and receive Coin
- click Toilet door to open it; grab Toilet Paper
- click “Flush” to learn there’s “a leak somewhere in the pipes” that needs to be repaired.

All screen shots were taken after performing the steps described.
- First, Goal needs to reach the terminal on the left side. Other times, you may lose some progress (like everything you did between entering the location you were last in and quitting the game).
keyboard shortcuts
These are taken word-for-word from the “Hints” section behind the “Bonus” button on the Main Menu:
- Press “I” to open the Inventory.
Note that the lever will only move one position at a time, so from “Starting position,” “Upper middle” is the only place you can go.
- When the puzzle starts — as shown in the image above — there’s only one move you can make; shift the lever straight down two notches. Detailing this requires revealing multiple big spoilers for puzzles you may not have even reached yet, so you might want to just save your game here and come back for the achievement later.
If you have NOT traded Prescription for Rope (which was covered earlier in this guide, in section 5.6), you are not yet in danger of missing this achievement, and can put off reading the next two spoilers.
Storytime requires you to read an item from your inventory — Flyer, Weighted Flyer, Prescription, or Letter — to the children in the sewer while they are seated on the monster’s teeth.
If you HAVE done that thing in the first spoiler (traded Prescription for Rope), Letter is your last hope, since Flyer is already gone.
I did, however, find a simple solution that i believe will work no matter what you’ve done on your own before consulting this guide.
